LEFT FOR DEAD - "Live"
In May of 2004, the original Left For Dead lineup, comprised of Jeff Beckman (Chokehold, Haymaker), Chris Colohan (Cursed, Ruination), Christian McMaster (Haymaker, Cursed), Josh & Matt put their differences aside and did two reunion shows. The first show was in downtown Toronto in an extremely small venue and actually served more as a practice. The second show was in Hamilton on May 8th, 2004 and with people driving and flying in from as far as California and England, there were approximately 400 fans in attendance. In order to capture one hell of an evening, Deranged Records rented some fancy equipment to record the LFD set live to board. The recording came out fantastic - loud, clear and all around solid. Left For Dead played pissed off hardcore, and you have been warned...

LEFT HAND PATH - "The Wreckage"
Left Hand Path is a hardcore band from Chicago that formed in early 2004. With influences ranging from mid 80's NYHC/crossover and bay area thrash, Left Hand Path play short and to the point songs stating their opinions of the scene and spreading positive vibes at shows. The theme of the six-song record is displaying the downside of human nature and emotions, fear of failure, depression, and hatred. Intense. Click for mp3s.

LET'S GROW - "Disease Of Modern Times"
After being around for a few years and two 7”s on 625 and Know Rec in the US, Let's Grow from Belgrade, Serbia finally managed to record their first full length. This is high-energy hardcore, taking the best elements of fast 80s USHC and good examples of European hardcore (think Manliftingbanner or Vitamin X) without being stuck in the past or coming across as a mere re-hash. LIAR - "Murder Manifesto"
10 years ago, Belgium's Liar, along with Congress and the likes, helped kickstarting this whole European metalcore thing... now they're back with their 5th full length (their first one in 4 years) and while they don't reinvent the genre, it's still a damn solid return for the H8000 veterans.

MISHAP - s/t
Extremely well executed charged metal punk in the vein of "Forward Into Battle" era English Dogs, early Broken Bones or Legion Of Parasites. A ripping onslaught with double bass drumming, dual guitars, and ferocious vocals. Song titles such as "Bloodlust", "Body Of Christ", and "Truth Of War" should give you a good indication of where they are coming from lyrically and stylistically. Comprised of various vagrants and vagabonds from the Boston punk scene, Mishap's debut EP isn't a cheap imitation or second rate knock off of the bands that influenced them, but rather pick up right where the UK greats left off while adding their own ripping trademarks to the genre.
