| 2:20 - s/t
2:20 are from Norway and play hardcore/punk with an upbeat, melodic sound, but also a slight metallic/crusty
edge to it. In other words, this is an updated version of the classic Norwegian punk sound - which ain't that much of a
surprise though, considering 2:20 have former members of Life But How To Live It? and Captain Not Responsible in their ranks. |

found in the most energetic and devestating of hardcore bands, the result bringing the likes of Breather Resist or Botch to mind. Seven

this split. |

ACT OF IGNORANCE - "The Final Hour"
Damn, these Dutchmen took me quite by surprise with what easily may be one of the best CDs to
come out this year so far. Expect some fast paced hardcore with big influences of mid to late 80s NYHC and also
the thrash metal of the era... think Cro-Mags meets Leeway meets Killing Time. Bust it! |

| AMBULANCE - "Dawn Of A New Beginning"
After Ambulance's debut LP some line-up changes occurred, now they don't have a female singer anymore
(unfortunately), but Sylen of Human Waste- & 365 Dagar Av Synd-fame took over the vocal duties. This new 7" contains
3 tracks of modern, heavy, metallic but melodic skandi d-beat hc/punk, otherwise known as "neo-crust". |

| AMBULANCE - "The End Of Our Time"
"While pulling some influence from the likes of the Tragedy camp, this actually reminds me quite a bit of Lost
as well. Its ultra fucking heavy. Like drop tuned and droning and grooving in a way that makes me swoon and sway, but up tempo
enough that you never let go. The heaviness pushes on while the melodies float and the pummeling powerhouse constantly drives
this. Sofie's vocal style is harsh and deep and guttural. The pummeling drums and weaving guitar melodies could recall some of
the familiarities of so many of my other favorites, but Ambulance have their own amazing ambiance that has me hooked and addicted
and I love this as much as my latest craze of Muga. Amazing I tell you!!" (Chris/Slug and Lettuce). |

Flag or JFA, better give this a listen! The LP has 14 tracks of hardcore/punk, spiced with a hint of 60s garage
and post-punk influences, a very cool recording and even much better crafted songs than their earlier material.

| BLACK SHEEP SQUADRON - "Foreign Object"
With Black SS, what you see is what you get. No bullshit, no posing, just pure hardcore. Black SS is a band whose only goal
is to remind the world that hardcore is supposed to be the rawest, most honest form of punk. This band is an outlet for 4 pissed off people
who have never, and will never, let go of the anger towards society that defined their youth. A middle finger to the mainstream that continues
to infiltrate our scene and a punch in the face to all the empty - fashionable hardcore. Black SS say what they mean and mean what they say.

| BORED TO DEATH - s/t
Hailing from Sapporo City, Japan, BTD are named after a song on Government Issue's "Legless Bull" EP and
it definitely shows in their sound. The production on this platter is so spot-on that you could add these tracks to future pressings
of Dischord's "1981: The Year in Seven Inches" CD and no one would ever notice; however, it's the simple, catchy-as-hell songwriting
that will keep you spinning this one over and over again. With 8 tracks in less than 9 minutes you know this one is a rager.
