FACE DEFEAT - s/t
Pissed off, moshable hard fucking core from the UK. These tracks were supposed to be on a split 7" with 50 On Red which never happened cause Face Defeat broke up shortly after recording... instead of letting the songs go to waste, Courage To Care decided to release them as one-sided 7" limited to 200 copies anyway - good choice!

FALL TIME. - "Coma"
After being around for about 7 years or so, Vienna's Fall Time. finally got it managed to release their first full length. And "Coma" was well worth the wait, especially if you dig the heavier, noisier end of the hardcore genre. Downtuned guitars, hypnotic drums, desperate vocals and seven songs in sixty-four minutes... you know this has to be massive.

Don't let the cover-art put you off - Force Of Change are back with some powerful, positive, fastpaced hardcore influenced by both, the "modern old school" sound (y' know, American Nightmare and the likes) as well as punkrock (think Kid Dynamite). 16 tracks in just under half an hour - not bad, eh?

HEADFIRST! - "Sick Society"
No, not a new record of the late 80s/early 90s Headfirst from Orange County, but the debut of a new band from the UK. Geez, I really wish some youngsters would pay a bit more attention when picking their bandnames... but apart from that, this is quite enjoyable: fast, no-frills hardcore... 9 originals and a Shark Attack cover! HONOR ROLE - "1982"
1982 was a great year for hardcore in DC and NY, but few mention Richmond, VA's Honor Role. This reissue of early Honor Role material - originally released as split tape with Graven Image and pre-dating their "Bled Like A Stuck Pig" 7" - should finally gain this band the recognition they deserve, though. It contains 9 tracks of fast hardcore in the vein of COC's "Eye For An Eye" with pre-pubescent vocals.
